Some members of the traditional costume association “Edelweiß” Neubeuern and helpers under the direction of Andi Lagler set to work with great commitment and created a theatre venue in collaboration with Neubeuern Castle, which is a real enrichment for Neubeuern. In March, the play “Die Prinzregenten-Schwammerl” was premièred.
A comedy in 3 acts by Florian Babel
It is 1910 and the “good old days” are in upheaval. The tobacco addicted farmer Vitus is against everything modern on the Winkl farm in Freiwies and is allergic to princely instructions. When his gambling debts are reported, he sees no other way out than poaching mushrooms in the royal forest. His son is caught by the gendarmerie. It remains to be seen whether the subtle judge at the Munich High Court will show mercy before justice in this matter.
