"Noblesse oblige"

Take responsibility to bring about accountability.

Julie Freifrau von Wendelstadt founded the Neubeuern country school not only to provide a home for children and make knowledge accessible to them, but also to enable them to develop their personalities in a value-orientated way. Her motto “Noblesse oblige” describes the sense of responsibility for future generations, which constitutes the strength of a community and thus has a significant influence on the well-being of our society. Julie von Wendelstadt opened her heart and her home, setting Schloss Neubeuern an example that we follow to this day.

Scholarships

The best thing to do is give us a call. We're sure to find the right one for you.

Association scholarship

Our former students support you.
Our alumni are very proud of Schloss Neubeuern and are happy to give back something of what they themselves have experienced here. In order to fulfil your dream of Schloss Neubeuern, we can recommend you to our alumni association and apply for additional financial support or a scholarship sponsor. If your parents are alumni themselves, we would be particularly pleased if you became part of our community. So take heart - your question is definitely worth a lot to us.

Foundation scholarship

We are interested in your talent and look forward to receiving your application.
With a scholarship from the foundation, we are following our guiding principle of making knowledge accessible, regardless of social factors such as your parents' background or income, and promoting your individual talent. As a foundation, we are able to grant your parents a scholarship towards school and boarding school fees. For this exceptional funding, you should send us proof of your academic achievements and special interests and talents as well as a personal letter of motivation. Be brave - together with your parents we will certainly find a possible way.

STEM scholarship

Are you passionate about science? We'll build you a bridge to the professions of the future with our special Plus STEM talent development programme.
Through the Verein zur MINT-Talentförderung e.V. (association for STEM encouragement), we are the only boarding school in Bavaria to offer you this targeted support in the subjects of maths, computer science, biology, chemistry, physics and technology and also support you with financial aid. This programme is possible from the 9th, 10th or 11th year up to the Abitur and is significantly more demanding than the standard Abitur. It is organised in collaboration with research institutions, universities and companies in order to promote your STEM talent in a particularly sustainable and continuous way.

Take the plunge and apply!

My application, with a cardboard lock.

When I was 9 years old, my brother had a best friend and he was the most cheerful person in the whole world, until at some point that was over and you realised that he was missing something. Then he suddenly went to boarding school and it seemed to make him happier than ever. When I asked him about this boarding school, I learnt about Schloss Neubeuern for the first time. He showed it to me online and I knew from the very first moment – I wanted to go to this school! I suspected that my parents wouldn’t be able to afford it, so I asked him about ways to make it to Neubeuern anyway. That’s when he told me about the scholarships. I was immediately electrified and although my parents doubted that I would succeed, they wanted to support me with my application. So I started writing to the headmaster and built the castle out of cardboard, complete with carpet and tower. I sent him a photo of it and couldn’t sleep until he suddenly replied to me and wrote that the old pupils’ association had found a sponsor who would support us financially. I could hardly believe it and cried with happiness. Now I’ve been in my “real castle” for four years and I’ve always been positive and in a good mood – despite some hurdles. I am so grateful to be here because I can now achieve so much in my life just because there are such nice people like Mr Strüngmann and my parents who support me so much.

Class 8a

As a scholarship holder, I was able to spend three wonderful years at Schloss Neubeuern. During this time, Neubeuern Castle was more than just a place to learn and live – Neubeuern Castle was my home and will always remain my home. The scholarship opened up valuable perspectives for me and significantly promoted my development.
I developed a close relationship with my scholarship sponsor during my time at Neubeuern and I am very grateful to have found a role model and friend in my sponsor.
Make the most of the opportunity I was given – take the plunge and it will be worth it!

Become a scholarship sponsor now. A friendship for life.

A scholarship sponsorship means much more than just a monetary donation, because it also fosters the relationship between sponsor and scholarship holder, which experience has shown to be very valuable for both. Our pupil learns that a financial donation is always linked to a person and a story and is therefore not a matter of course – but something special. For you as a sponsor, this contact means both proximity to Schloss Neubeuern and the feeling and certainty that your donation is making a really positive difference.
